The Port was shut down for the winter.
On the return trip we stopped at Thompson between 1:00 and 2:00 Sunday afternoon. Lots of pickups backed up to the baggage car and the natives who live in the settlements to the south started tossing stuff (liquor, groceries, etc.) into the baggage car and they rode south in the coach cars. I asked one of the car attendants how all the stuff got sorted at its destination. They said, "Oh, they take care of it. We let them fight it out.
